Coweta Chiropractic in Newnan, GA has digital X-ray imaging on site. That means if your examination indicates imaging, we can take it, review it, and build your treatment plan around what we actually see — in the same visit, without an outside referral and without waiting days for results.

Guessing is not a treatment plan. Seeing the spine is how Dr. Valerie Román and Dr. Javier Amador make sure your care is aimed at the real problem. Hablamos Español.

Why On-Site Imaging Matters

When X-rays require an outside facility, your care stalls. You book a second appointment somewhere else, wait for images and a report, then come back. Days pass and treatment has not started.

With imaging in our office, that gap disappears. We capture detailed images of the spine in real time, review them with you, and adjust the plan on the spot. It also means the doctor who is treating you is the one reading your films in the context of your exam findings.

What Digital X-Rays Show Us

  • Alignment and curvature of the spine, including loss of normal neck curve
  • Disc height and signs of disc degeneration
  • Arthritic and degenerative change
  • Fractures and structural damage after an accident or fall
  • Instability, abnormal motion, and congenital variations
  • Findings that mean chiropractic care is not appropriate and you need referral elsewhere

That last point matters as much as the rest. Imaging protects you as much as it guides treatment.

Digital vs. Traditional Film

Digital radiography produces images in seconds rather than requiring chemical development, and the images can be enlarged, adjusted, and measured on screen for a clearer read. Digital systems also typically require less radiation than older film equipment to produce a diagnostic image.

When We Take X-Rays — and When We Don’t

We do not image everyone automatically. X-rays are taken when your history and examination indicate they will change what we do — after trauma such as a car accident or a fall, with unexplained or persistent pain, before certain treatments, or when we need to rule out something serious. If you are or may be pregnant, tell us before any imaging.

Part of Your First Visit

Imaging is one piece of a complete first appointment: history, examination, X-rays when indicated, then a clear explanation of what we found and what we recommend — whether that is adjustments, spinal decompression, shockwave therapy, or a combination.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need X-rays at my first visit?

Only if your history and examination indicate it. We will explain why before taking any images.

How long does it take?

Minutes. Digital images are available immediately, so we can review them with you during the same visit.

Can I bring imaging from another provider?

Yes. Bring any recent X-rays, MRI, or CT results and we will review them — it may mean you do not need new images.

Are X-rays safe?

Diagnostic X-rays use a low dose of radiation, and digital equipment generally requires less than older film systems. We take images only when clinically indicated. Tell us if you are or may be pregnant.
